So where are all these Privateers who were talking smack about "If you swing the nerfbat, piracy will adapt!"
What happened to the bravado? Where's that "Don't whine, ADAPT" crap coming from now?

Flame much?
When the circumstances call for it. It seems ironic how quickly they folded, though. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Timmeh ([email protected]) |

Originally by: Ragornok Realistically, I see this having a fundamental change in how we operate, but it will only be a negative change if we allow it to be.
Real difference, we will have less declared wars. Ok. So, will I crawl away defeated? No, never.
There will be less targets, true, but that will also be liberating to a degree. It opens up the ability to really start to target our efforts and have a greater impact in each individual war we have. No longer will we randomly pop whatever we see, but we will be proactively pursuing our enemies. We may no longer accept every contract that is requested of us, but we will have the ability to pick and choose the most lucrative and entertaining ones.
We won't be patrolling with a wide net, catching whatever the tide may bring. I hope to see us grow in effectiveness, stay true to our ideals, and continue being a scourge upon those we choose.
See ya 'round the Empire. That's what I was looking to see. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Timmeh ([email protected]) |

Originally by: Tista << is blonde << is slow, can i ask what the change is that is so bad for prv?
It severely curtails the number of wars any alliance or corporation can have running at the sametime. Instead of each war costing a mere 50 million a week each. One war costs 50 million, two wars cost 200 million, three wars cost 450 million, four wars cost 800 million, five wars cost 1.25 billion. These are per week costs. Originally by: Lavinrac Krad I hope PA figures out a way to maintain the impact they have today. PA is a brilliant idea and the nerfing of them is truly a blow to Eve and it is a terrible blow to MMORPGs in general.
These guys really did something creative and interesting, it is a shame people can not respect that and want to force their game play style upon other games (especially when they already have games like EQ and WoW).
BTW- I hope you PA guys figure a way around this, Good Luck. (I'm not saying I share your opinion on dual wreck ownership though, I'm sorry I am a vulture )
There's nothing stopping them from continuing what they do. They simply cannot maintain the current scope of their operations. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Timmeh ([email protected]) |
